How to Install ppmd software package in Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr)

ppmd software package provides fast archiver program with good compression ratio, you can install in your Ubuntu 14.04 LTS (Trusty Tahr) by running the commands given below on the terminal,

$ sudo apt-get update
$ sudo apt-get install ppmd

ppmd is installed in your system.

Make ensure the ppmd package were installed using the commands given below,

$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep ppmd *

You will get with ppmd package name, version, architecture and description in a table
